Attendance to International Council of Museums Conference in Milan

Discussion at CIDOC Session
The International Council of Museums (ICOM) Conference, held once every three years, was held in Milan, Italy from 3-9 July 2016. From IRCI, Wataru Iwamoto (Director-General) and Takao Mishima (Chief Officer) attended this event. Regarding intangible cultural heritage, International Committee for Documentation (CIDOC) held a session on ‘Intangible Heritage’, where IRCI participated in interactive discussion.
The upcoming ICOM Kyoto Conference in 2019 regarding the future orientation of museums will be held in Japan for the first time.
