Video recording of the 8th Online Seminar titled ‘Leveraging local and indigenous knowledge to enhance adaptive capacity: Examples from Southeast Asian coastal communities’ by Lisa Hiwasaki (Assistant Professor, Department of Marine Affairs, University of Rhode Island, USA; Associate researcher, Institut en environnement, développement et société (Institut EDS), Université Laval, Canada), held on 26 February 2025, is now available on IRCI’s YouTube channel. The seminar shares successful adaptation strategies of indigenous and local communities using their traditional knowledge, and highlights the need for supporting and transmitting such knowledge to future generations for ensuring equitable and sustainable adaptation.
